Where does the Trinity first appear in the Bible?

By Joe B.

I often hear people say that The Trinity or word Trinity does not appear in the Bible. Well, while the word Trinity does not appear, The Trinity is first hinted at in Genesis 1:1 when the word “Elohim”, which is plural, is used to name God. “In the beginning, Elohim created the heavens and the earth.” Again, in Genesis 1:26 “Then Elohim said, Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness…”

I’ve seen some Rabbis argue that this is not plural, but there are plenty who say it is plural.
